Summary:
Introduction. The current demographic situation determines the priorities of reproductive health and the need to study trends in the preservation of the products of conception. Support programs for young families developed and implemented in recent years, as well as motivation to maintain reproductive health, are becoming attractive for childbearing. Objective. To study current trends in reproductive losses associated with pregnancy termination in the context of the implementation of motivational support programs for young and large families. Materials and methods. A comparative analysis of data from the federal statistical observation form No. 13, "Information on Pregnancy with Abortive Outcome," for the Russian Federation, the Volga Federal District, and the Udmurt Republic for 2022–2025 was conducted. We studied only cases of pregnancy termination between 12 and 22 weeks of gestation, excluding other types of pregnancy loss. Analytical and statistical research methods were employed. Data processing was performed using Excel. Results. Analysis of federal statistical observation data on cases of pregnancy termination between 12 and 22 weeks of gestation over the past four years shows that from 2022 to 2025, the number of pregnancy terminations between 12 and 22 weeks in the corresponding period has shown a downward trend in the Udmurt Republic, the Volga Federal District, and the Russian Federation as a whole. Thus, in the age group of girls aged 0-14 years, in the Russian Federation over the entire study period (2022–2025), it decreased by 25,7%, in the Volga Federal District – by 14,8%, returning to the 2022 level (nine cases), as well as in the Udmurt Republic (one case). In the age group of girls aged 15-17 years, it decreased by 18,2% nationwide, in the Udmurt Republic – by 50.0% (from four to two cases), while in the Volga Federal District it increased by 6,0% (from 31 to 33 cases). Discussion. In recent years, the Government of the Russian Federation has been taking significant measures to support young and large families in order to increase birth rates. The study results suggest that the reduction in pregnancy terminations may be associated with the implementation of motivational programs. Conclusions. During the period from 2022 to 2025, the reduction in the number of pregnancy terminations in the context of the implementation of support programs for young and large families indicates a priority of population reproduction and the preservation of pregnancy.
