Introduction. Dental care for the population is an integral part of the general health care system of the country and one of the most widespread types of medical care. Dentistry is a section of health care that has significant features: a network of specialized medical organizations, almost 100% morbidity of the population, mainly outpatient nature of care, a separate system of personnel training. In modern conditions, the success of the dental service largely depends on the timely introduction of new technologies and the provision of qualified personnel. Healthcare reform has led to structural changes in the system. Objective. To analyze the work of medical organizations providing dental care in the Rostov region in dynamics over 6 years (2018–2023). Materials and methods. The source of information was data from the federal statistical observation form No. 30 "Information about the medical organization" of the Rostov region and a market review of the dental service for 2018-2023. Statistical, analytical, and logical methods were applied. Statistical processing was carried out in the IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 and Microsoft Excel programs using descriptive statistics, linear regression analysis (Pearson correlation coefficient, r), and Student's t-test. The critical level of significance was p er, their number decreased from 700 to 525 people, and their share in the total structure of specialists decreased by 7.4%. A shift in the volume of dental care to the private healthcare sector is observed.
