Summary:
Introduction. Parental attitudes of parents determine the strategy of behavior, the ranking of personal priorities and the attitude of the whole family to their health.
The purpose of the study was to study the relationship to their own health in a family with a healthy child, a child with respiratory diseases or with hyperrecitivity syndrome.
Materials and methods. The study involved 100 respondents (parents with children of school and primary school age: group 1 (n = 32) - healthy (control), group 2 (n = 35) - with attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity, group 3 (n = 33) - with respiratory diseases). As a method of research, the questionnaire “Motivation and values of health in the family” was used, developed on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “TsNIIOIZ” of the Ministry of Health of Russia, and containing 5 blocks rated on a rating scale from 1 to 7 points. Comparative analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney U-test.
Results and discussion. Analysis of the data showed that the health, happiness in the family and material well-being are the most valuable for the parents of all three groups. At the same time, in the 1st and 3rd groups of respondents, the main value is the health of the whole family and care for its preservation (significant differences 5,4 / 3,4 / 5,3 points, where U≤0.05), while for parents Children with ADHD - only the health of children, with the lowest value of their own health. Against this background, the behavior strategy in a situation of ill health in groups 1 and 2 was characterized by condition monitoring and preventive measures, followed by a visit to a doctor, and for group 3 there was more typical self-treatment or treatment at once in several medical organizations (1,8 / 2,1 / 3,8 points, where U≤0,05).
Conclusion The study showed that families with children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and children with respiratory diseases have different value orientations in relation to health. The analysis made it possible to create a collective portrait of groups of parents.
Keywords children, family, parents, value relationship, diseases, health.
