Relevance: the high prevalence of defects in the dentition and the frequency of their complications is the relevance of improving orthopedic dental care. Purpose: development of scientifically based proposals for improving orthopedic dental care for defects of dentition. Material and Methods: Conducted under current surveillance 1531 patients with partial and complete edentulous and 213 patients of the comparison group. Morphometric studies of the maxillofacial area and descriptive statistics were used. Results: biometric studies of gypsum models of the jaws of patients with physiological types of occlusion showed a certain regularity, which allowed us to choose three basic patterns (small arc, medium arc and large arc). It is shown that knowing the size of the upper teeth, it is enough to divide the length of the upper dental arch into the calculated coefficient and obtain the dimensions of the antagonists. Conclusion: It has been established that the hnatic type of face affects the latitudinal parameters of the dental arches. The results of a morphometric study of patients in the comparison group and the proposed algorithm can be used to improve orthopedic care for patients with defects in dentition.
