The average number of visits per inhabitant per year is of great importance for assessing the availability of medical care provided in outpatient settings for the population, as well as for calculating the resources necessary for its development. The actual value of this indicator is compared with the indicator of the planned volume of medical care provided on an outpatient basis, which is annually approved as a standard in the territorial program of state guarantees for the provision of free medical care to citizens of the Russian Federation. This indicator can be calculated separately for visits in a polyclinic and at home, as well as for doctors of various specialties. Purpose of research. To analyze and identify trends in attendance of General practitioners providing primary medical care to the population in outpatient settings in the Russian Federation for the period 2007-2016. Materials and methods. The data contained in the form of Federal statistical observation No. 30 "Data on the medical organization" for 2007-2016 in the Russian Federation, Federal districts, 17 pilot territories (n = 260) are analyzed. Results and discussion. The total number of visits to district physicians in the Russian Federation, Federal districts in the dynamics for 2007-2016 (per 1000 population) decreases in the Russian Federation (-9,20%), Federal districts, except for the North Caucasus (138,80%) and far Eastern (8,00%) Federal districts (figure 1 and 2). In 2007, the minimum total number of visits of district physicians was noted in the North Caucasus (822,30‰), the maximum in the Central (2322,30‰) Federal districts. For the entire study period, the average Russian figure was exceeded only in the Central Federal district. Conclusion. During the study period (2007-2016). the marked decrease in the total number of visits to General practitioners in the district of 9.20% (1884,30‰ to 1711,00‰) in the Russian Federation. The percentage of visits to patients at home therapists precinct (9,80%-19,90%) also tended to decrease. The number of visits in medical institutions of doctors-therapists of district decreased by 2.34% (1545,10‰ to 1509,00‰). The proportion of visits to General practitioners in the district outpatient basis concerning diseases has increased from 70,80% to 76.70%, indicating the need to revise the rate of loading and specification of the number of doctors-therapists of district police officers.
