MEDICAL ASPECTS OF ORGANIZING AND CONDUCTING TOURIST CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE

Summary:
According to the UN, currently the proportion of people over 60 years old in the economically developed countries of the world is approximately 22-24% of the total population and continues to grow. In this regard, the number of studies on active aging is growing, programs and strategies are being developed to create conditions for improving life quality of older people. The purpose of the study is to analyze medical aspects of arrangement and performance of cultural and educational tourism programs for the elderly. Materials and research methods: Analysis of foreign and national literature was carried out using the search systems elibrary, pubmed, google scholar, as well as the Scopus, Web of Science databases (N = 20). Research results and their discussion. It was revealed that the problems of the implementation of tourist programs for the elderly are: lack of trained specialists, lack of a developed methodology for arranging social programs for elderly travelers, lack of sufficient infrastructure. Older people represent a significant part of tourists. According to various estimates, 15-30% of travelers are people over 60 years old. In this article, the authors consider the medical aspects of preliminary medical counseling for elderly travelers. The structure of older people and potential clients of tourist programs is also considered. Conclusion. One of the main targets of implementation of travel programs for older people is development of a united integrated service system. Adaptation of tourist routes is a good starting point for the development of pilot programs, on the basis of which it will be possible to build a sustainable integrated model of tourist services for older people and to formulate standards of service. Comprehensive service combining tourism and medicine on the basis of science and practice will improve health and socialization of older people, as well as improve their servicing system in the Russian Federation.
