Introduction. Diseases of the digestive organs are one of the main medical and social problems not only for the Russian Federation, but also for most countries of the world. Aim. The study of the dynamics and territorial characteristics of the digestive system diseases incidence among the adult population of the Kursk region from 2015 to 2017. Material and methods. A retrospective study of data from federal statistical observation form No. 12 “Information on the number of diseases registered by patients living in the service area of a medical organizations” in the Kursk Region for 2015–2017 was conducted. Results and discussion. Primary gastroenterological morbidity in the Kursk region as a whole and the city of Kursk in 2015-2017 was lower than in the Central Federal District and in the Russian Federation. For the first time, taking into account the territorial characteristics of the Kursk Region, areas with a high and low level of the digestive organs diseases incidence are identified. Conclusion. The obtained data can be used to improve and improve the efficiency of the system of specialized medical care for patients of the digestive system diseases.
