Introduction. Improving and implementing new approaches in the planning of primary medical and sanitary dental care for adults is one of the most pressing issues in the Russian Federation. Aim. To study the territorial characteristics of the oral cavity diseases, salivary glands and jaws prevalence in the adult population in the Kursk region in 2017. Material and methods. A retrospective study from Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of Kursk region data on the prevalence of adults with diseases of the oral cavity, salivary glands and jaws using the ICD-10 codes (K00-K14) was conducted. Results and discussion. The prevalence of oral diseases remains high in all districts of the Kursk region. Conclusion. Received information can be used for updating and improving the system of dental care for patients who had oral cavity, salivary glands and jaws diseases.
