Actuality : the Russian market of medical devices (MD) for the correction of disorders of the musculoskeletal system has high growth potential, primarily due to the high prevalence of flat foot and a significant number of pharmacy organizations with the ability to provide advisory services to the population. Purpose: to assess the potential of the market of medical devices intended for foot correction in children 8-10 years in Krasnoyarsk. Materials and methods: Diagnosis of the occurrence of foot disorders was carried out using plantographs in 592 children 8-10 years from October to December 2018. The calculation of the potential consumer of orthopedic medical devices in Krasnoyarsk held based on 26790 kids 8 2010 years of birth, 26652 9 years born in 2009, and 25534 of the child medicines years old born in 2008, living in the city of Krasnoyarsk, according to Rosstat. Results: As a result of the study, transverse flat foot are 1.7 times more likely to be detected in children ten years old than in children 8-9 years old, with the potential of recommending medical devices to 3,575 children ten years old, 3,095 children nine years old and 2,572 MD for children eight years old. 52.9% of children from 8 to 10 years have a full foot with a MD market potential of 41384 children for foot correction, and 32.9% have flat foot with a market potential of 26171 MD. The calculation of market potential can be used in the planning of production of MD for orthopedic salon, investments, pharmacy, and expansion of service facilities for the correction of the foot, planning dimensional matrices, when applying for the purchase of goods. Conclusions: The total potential of the MD market for foot correction in children 8-10 years of the 2010-2008 year of birth in Krasnoyarsk is 67555 units of products per year. The organization of services for consulting prevention of flat foot in the orthopedic salon and pharmacy is a commercially promising direction, which is justified by the high figures of the potential of the MD market for foot correction.
