Summary:
Introduction. The solution of problems of prevention of chronic non-infectious diseases is now increasingly considered in connection with the expansion of the functions of secondary medical personnel. At the same time, the personal commitment of medical workers to a healthy lifestyle is a factor in increasing the motivation for a healthy lifestyle of the population. Purpose. To study the results of the assessment by undergraduate nursing students of their lifestyle, commitment to a healthy lifestyle and readiness to work with the population on its formation. Materials and methods. Interviewing students using specially designed questionnaires, analyzing results based on the age of the respondents. Methods of descriptive statistics are used for the analysis. Results. Differences were found in indicators related to different age groups of respondents, as well as in their assessment of their health and well-being in General. At the same time, the respondents ' personal commitment to a healthy lifestyle was not high enough. A comprehensive assessment of lifestyle showed that the most significant problems were related to lack of sleep, rest, and to a lesser extent – Smoking. Discussion and conclusions. The inclusion in the lifestyle assessment survey, in addition to the" standard " risk factors for the development of chronic non-communicable diseases, of the characteristics of the work, rest, and sleep regime allowed us to more fully characterize the problems that affect the health of respondents. These data indicate that it is advisable to expand the range of issues related to the assessment of the population's lifestyle, and their comprehensive analysis, as opposed to working with individual risk factors. This will increase the targeting of preventive measures, and therefore their effectiveness.
