Summary:
Introduction. The solution to the problems of organizing preventive work, including medical examinations, adolescents studying in colleges, must now be considered in the context of increasing the importance of middle-level workers in the country's economy. Purpose - on the basis of an assessment of the system for organizing medical examinations of minors studying in organizations of secondary vocational education, identify the main problems in organizing preventive examinations and establish their possible causes. Materials and methods. Analysis of regulatory documents on medical examinations of minors studying in educational institutions and the results of a survey of pediatricians participating and medical workers of colleges in the Sverdlovsk region. Results. Despite the existence of a regulatory and legal framework for organizing preventive medical examinations of minors, in practice there are difficulties in conducting examinations of adolescents studying in organizations of secondary vocational education. The established defects lead to a decrease in the coverage of preventive examinations of underage college students. Only in a third of cases, college health workers receive the results of preventive examinations of students, which are necessary for organizing preventive work. To a greater extent, this problem is typical for large cities, in which a large number of nonresident students are concentrated. The results of a sociological survey showed that only half of pediatricians provide medical professional counseling for adolescents. At the same time, two-thirds of pediatricians noted a lack of knowledge in this section of work. Significant shortcomings in the continuity and transmission of information between pediatricians of children's polyclinics at the place of residence and place of study, as well as a medical worker of the college, have been established. Lack of access to reliable information about the health of adolescent students has a negative impact on the organization of preventive work and health protection of college students. Conclusion. The elimination of the identified defects will be facilitated by a revision of the principle of organizing and paying for preventive medical examinations of nonresident minors of college students who are not attached to the children's clinic at the place of study. The inconsistency of actions between the medical workers of the OSVO and the specialists of children's polyclinics can be overcome by introducing information medical systems and the possibility of connecting the medical worker of the college to the electronic medical document management system. To increase the availability of medical professional consulting, in our opinion, it is necessary to develop guidelines for pediatricians with the obligatory involvement of occupational pathologists. It also requires the development of a procedure for referral to preliminary medical examinations of college students.
