Relevance: To the rapid development of high-tech medical care is the role of the major health agencies, rural agencies often becomes uneconomical. Highly specialized medical care is available to the population of large cities and adjacent settlements, and people living in remote areas have difficulties even with getting specialized medical care, and this problem is global. Solution lies in the development of ambulance and telemedicine. Purpose of the study: to examine and summarize the role of telemedicine technologies in modern conditions of medical care. Material and methods: the study used data from the medical documentation, the frequency of rendering of medical aid to the population of the Vologda region by means of telemedicine technologies in the period from 2016 to 2019. Results and discussion: One of the important conditions for the decision on the organization of evacuation of victims and patients with life-threatening emergencies, living in remote areas, with the involvement of air ambulance is to assess the patient's health status, risks, and feasibility of their emergency evacuation.
