Due to the increase in the share of the elderly population, there is an increase in the incidence of cataract, which is considered an age-associated pathology and often leads to vision loss. Among these patients, cognitive disorders are often registered, the study of which is given insufficient attention. The aim of the study - study of the structure of cognitive disorders in cataracts in the elderly. Materials and methods: In 84 patients 60-74 years old with cataract and 85 patients of the same age with no cataract, cognitive disorders were studied on the Mini-mental-State-Examination scale. We also analyzed the structure of severity and components of cognitive disorders in elderly patients due to cataracts. The t-white criterion was used for statistical processing, and the difference at Pby difficulty reading, writing texts and redrawing samples.
