Summary:
Actuality. The resilience is a relatively new concept that characterizes the functional and reserve pool in older patients. The resilience consists of certain domains, such as cognitive, motor, psychological, sensory, and bodily. However, the periods of human life and aging are divided into certain social stages. Purpose. To study the state of the resilience domains in people who have retired. Material and methods. We studied 106 elderly people (average age 66.1±1.2 years) who continue to work on their own and work for at least 10 years, and 104 elderly people (average age 66.7±1.2 years) who retired 1 year ago. Before retirement, people also worked for at least 10 years. We studied the state of the resilience domains on the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. We also determined the neuroimmunoendocrine status of the studied elderly people. The state of the sensor analyzers was evaluated using the VAS scale. The data were processed using modern mathematical and statistical methods used in medical research using the computer program Complete MATLAB Programming (USA). Results. In people who are retired, the resilience is reduced by reducing the indicators of the cognitive domain by 1.6 times, the motor domain by 1.2 times, and the psychological domain by 0.9 times. The smallest contribution to the decrease in the resilience in elderly people who are retired is made by a decrease in sensory and physical health indicators. In the case of violations of the cognitive and psychological domains of the resilience in elderly people who are retired, there was a significant decrease in the level of vitamin D by 1.5 times compared to the indicators in working elderly people, which proves the influence of vitamin D levels on cognitive abilities and the development of psychological disorders. Conclusions. A significant increase in activity of chronic immune inflammation – increased proinflammatory response and reduced anti-inflammatory interleukins are associated with a reduction in the resilience, which is important to consider the detection of residual reserves (biological constants), determining the functional reserve of the geriatric patient (clinical and neuroimmune endocrine status), the development of preventive measures aimed at improving the resilience of the elderly, retired.
