Summary:
The problem of cognitive impairment, considered in the framework of cognitive asthenia, in today's "ageing" society begins to take a leading position. At the same time, the current tasks of the health care system are the development and implementation of available programs of therapy and rehabilitation of neuropsychological spectrum disorders with a focus on both cognitive and psychological, and internal domains. The aim of the study is to develop and implement a scientifically sound multimodal model for rehabilitation of patients with cognitive asthenia. Materials and methods. The study involved 106 elderly patients (37 men, 69 women), whose average age was 65,71,4 years. Patients of the main group were offered a multimodal model of rehabilitation, including the following components: a complex of regular physical activity, which included aerobic and anaerobic exercises, as well as exercises on balance; cognitive training with the use of techniques for memory training - literal and categorical associations, as well as the reception of biologically active supplements based on coenzyme Q10 and plasmalogens. Patients of the control group № 2 were offered a similar model of rehabilitation of cognitive asthenia, without taking a biologically active supplement. Patients of the control group № 1 were advised to lead a healthy lifestyle. The duration of the observation was 3 months with checkpoints on the 30th and 90th days. Results and their discussion. In assessing the results of the study against the background of the multimodal program of rehabilitation of cognitive asthenia in patients of the main group there is a reliably significant improvement in the mystic functions and neurodynamic indicators such as the ability to concentrate and maintain attention, the rate of formation of associations of a literary and categorical nature, starting from the 30th day of rehabilitation, including compared to control groups № 1 and № 2 (at p0,05-0,01). There is also a positive dynamic in the main group of patients in relation to the severity of anxiety and depression, starting from the 30th day of rehabilitation, including in comparison with control groups № 1 and № 2 (at p0,05). Conclusions. The results of the study demonstrate the importance of the use of multimodal rehabilitation programs for patients with cognitive asthenia, including regular physical activity, cognitive training and an additional source of antioxidants based on coenzyme Q10 and sea scallop extract (Plasmalogen) seaside. They are justified, effective and can be used as a baseline of rehabilitation programs in patients with cognitive impairment.
