The purpose of this work is to analysis of the impact of acute myocardial infarction on the quality of life of elderly patients. Material and methods: The study of the quality of life in 112 elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction was conducted using a special cardiological (specific questionnaire). 85 patients aged 60-74 years without acute myocardial infarction were monitored Results: It was found that the leading causes that reduce the quality of life of patients 60-74 years old with acute myocardial infarction are the need for long-term treatment and a decrease in activity in everyday life. Statistically significant differences were found for all components of the quality of life of elderly patients in the main and control groups. The integral quality of life index among patients 60-74 years old with acute myocardial infarction is almost 5 times lower than in patients of the same age without this disease. Conclusion: Reduced quality of life and the main causes in elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction should be taken into account when assessing the condition of these patients.
