Summary:
The relevance of research related to the quality of medical care provided in the “cosmetology” profile is determined by the problem of intensifying patients' lawsuits for compensation for material and moral harm, and increasing attention to these issues from consumer protection societies, public organizations and the media. The aim of the study was to assess the quality of medical care in the "Cosmetology" profile based on an analysis of primary medical documentation, the results of a sociological survey of patients with an assessment of their position, reflecting the degree of satisfaction with the medical service received. Research Methods. The study was conducted using a retrospective analysis of 200 cases of cosmetological assistance and a sociological survey of a sample of 315 observation units. Statistical processing of the results was carried out using the standard package "MS Excel 2013". For data processing and systematization of the results, analytical and statistical methods were used. Results. When evaluating the results of internal quality control of medical care, the structure of defects in filling out forms of primary medical documentation was revealed. The most frequently recorded defect was an incomplete medical history (57.0%). The second place was taken by violations in the formulation of the diagnosis, in terms of compliance with its ICD-10 (17.3%). In third place are defects in the passport part of the card (16.8%). Patient informed consent for medical care was missing in 1.9% of the cards. Other defects accounted for 7.0%. Defects in the processing of medical documentation were more common in medical organizations of private ownership (47.0%). The survey results showed that the vast majority of patients (81.4%) prefer to go to private medical organizations, motivating it with a wide range of medical services and the best service, and more than 20% of the respondents trust the public health sector (18.6%). Conclusions. The analysis of assessments of the internal quality control of medical care according to the profile of “cosmetology” revealed the risks for medical organizations associated with ensuring the rights of patients to receive medical care of appropriate quality. In our opinion, the development of a unified form of a medical record that takes into account the peculiarities of medical care in the cosmetology profile can help mitigate risks and prevent the occurrence of conflict situations.
