Relevance: The conceptual position of modern geriatric science is the state of senile asthenia. Patients with this diagnosis often lack adaptation to the hospital, including the polyclinic environment, which in most cases leads to chronic and advanced dental pathology, aggravated suffering of the elderly and a decrease in their quality of life. Purpose: to consider the issues of providing dental care to patients with senile asthenia syndrome from the perspective of a dentist. Materials and methods: The published scientific articles on this issue have been analyzed. Research results: The issues of assessing the condition of a patient with senile asthenia syndrome have a practical aspect for doctors of any specialty, including dentists, and are associated with the task of choosing an adequate tactics of interaction and clinical observation of the patient, ensuring comfortable conditions for the provision of care. Literary sources note the significant role of a geriatrician in monitoring patients with senile asthenia and preparing them for receiving dental care, the provision of which should be based on the principles of complexity, involving the joint work of dentists, geriatricians and psychologists. Coordination of actions between different services is required: creation of multidisciplinary medical teams; involvement of the patient's family and relatives to participate in the organization of medical care for patients. Conclusions: The identification by dentists of signs of senile asthenia syndrome in a patient and an assessment of his individual typological characteristics should be carried out already at the first appointment for the correct construction of a clinical dialogue, planning care, taking into account the interests and limitations of the patient.
