The geriatric status of elderly patients with isolated and comorbid hypertension has not been sufficiently reflected in scientific publications. The aim of the study was to analyze the prevalence of clinical geriatric syndromes in patients aged 60-74 years with isolated arterial hypertension and combined with CHD. Material and methods: Clinical geriatric syndromes were studied in 240 elderly patients with essential isolated hypertension of the 1st-2nd degree and 230 patients 60-74 years old with hypertension of the 1st-2nd degree combined with coronary heart disease (CHD) on the basis of a comprehensive geriatric examination. Results of the study: Patients of the compared groups statistically significantly differ in the prevalence of most of the analyzed clinical geriatric syndromes with a predominance in the group of patients aged 60-74 years with hypertension and CHD. Particularly pronounced differences were found in the frequency of pain and General motor activity disorders, which are 3.8 times and 2.2 times more common among elderly patients with hypertension and CHD. However, there was no significant difference in the prevalence of sarcopenia syndrome, hypomobility syndrome, and malnourishment syndrome.
