Summary:
Introduction. The problem of children's mental health is one of the most urgent today.
Aim: to assess the dynamic tendencies of primary, general morbidity, their levels, the dynamics of the rate of chronicity of mental disorders and behavioral disorders in children aged 0-14 years in the Arkhangelsk region.
Methods. The analysis used indicators of the incidence (registered patients, children 0-14 years old, with a diagnosis established for the first time in their lives per 100,000 of the corresponding age) and overall morbidity (registered patients, children 0-14 years old, per 100,000 of the corresponding age) incidence of mental disorders and conduct disorders. Analysis period 2009 - 2019. The tendency (trend) of the time series was revealed by robust smoothing 4253H. Determination of the presence of outliers in the series was established by obtaining the residuals of the difference between smoothed and unsmoothed series. The structural stability of the analyzed series was tested using the Chow test. The relationship between the indicators of time series was revealed by building an autoregressive integrated moving average with a transfer function (ARIMA). The rate of chronicity was calculated as the ratio of the incidence morbidity to the overall incidence of mental and behavioral disorders.
Results. The study showed a similarity in the dynamics of the incidence and overall morbidity of mental disorders in children, as well as the rate of chronicity at the age of 0-14 years in the studied regions. The dynamics of these indicators is divided into two periods - before 2015-2016 and after. In the Arkhangelsk region, there is a positive relationship between incidence and overall morbidity. The reason for the change in dynamics requires additional research.
Discussions. The change in the direction of change in the indicators of general and primary morbidity of mental disorders among children 0-14 years old can be explained by changes in the organization of medical care.
Conclusions. The dynamics of the incidence and overall morbidity of mental disorders, the rate of chronicity in the studied regions had a similar character, having dramatically changed in 2015-2016. In the Arkhangelsk Region, there is a direct relationship between the incidence and overall incidence of mental disorders in children aged 0-14 years. In all the regions studied, the degree of chronicity of mental disorders in children aged 0-14 years is high.
Keywords childhood morbidity, mental and behavioral disorders.
