IMPROVEMENT OF THE SYSTEM OF ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION OF SECONDARY MEDICAL PERSONNEL

Summary:
The guarantee of high quality medical care to the population puts forward a large number of requirements for improving the quality of basic and postgraduate training.
The purpose of the study is to study the attitude of nursing staff to the existing system of professional development and determine the ways of its optimization
Methods of research: sociological (questionnaire survey), statistical, content analysis.
Results: most of the respondents perceive postgraduate education positively –88%. However, 10% of those surveyed have a neutral attitude to professional development and 2% negative, which is an alarming indicator. The most problematic link in advanced training courses, according to experts, is the practical block, while 52% noted that they do not need practical skills training because they have sufficient practical experience, 40% would like more practical training, 8% believe that that the development of manipulation techniques is necessary.
The most common wish of the trainees was the inclusion in the curriculum of advanced training courses of issues related to innovative technologies in nursing practice (88%) and the quality of medical care (96%). The most preferable for the listeners were such forms of classes as round table discussions, work in pairs and groups, watching educational and scientific films, and lectures. The transition to a new, distance learning format is considered positive - 94% of the respondents. 91% of respondents.
Еxpressed their desire to attend professional development courses for specialists from practical healthcare working in large medical organizations. Advanced training in the format of continuing medical education (NMO) was positively assessed by 98% of the surveyed specialists.
Conclusions: the attitude of specialists with secondary medical education to the current system of professional development is often formal, which is reflected in the fact that it acts as a tool for maintaining professional status. At the same time, to date, the gap between the demand for educational services in the field of continuing education and supply has not yet been bridged.
