Relevance: For many decades, dental care has remained one of the most popular types of medical care in terms of the number of appeals by the population, and in terms of the number of specialist doctors it ranks second after therapists. Dental pathology occupies a leading place among the diseases of the country's population, reaching 95,0-100,0%. With the increasing age of people, large volumes of dental care are required. In this regard, the study of the current state of the provision of specialists in this industry and the attendance of the population about various dental problems is relevant. Purpose: To conduct a personnel audit of the dental service and the frequency of treatment of the adult population of the Ivanovo region for dental care. Materials and methods: By means of descriptive statistics, an analysis was made of the availability of dental doctors and the frequency of visits to specialists by the adult population in the Ivanovo region. Research results: According to the indicator of the age structure, the Ivanovo region is one of the ten "oldest" regions of the Russian Federation, in which the share of the population over the working age exceeds 26%. Both the public and private sectors of the dental service are well developed in the region. An analysis of the staff of dental doctors for the period from 2015 to 2019 showed an increase in the share of dentists by 16,0%, providing care to the population over 18 years old. Among the visits by patients to specialist doctors, repeated visits with already advanced forms of dental diseases prevailed due to their untimely access to dental care. The analysis of medical personnel by the level of qualification showed that the majority have a qualification category, which indicates a high level of dental care. With an increase in the proportion of elderly people, large volumes of dental care are required, especially of the orthopedic profile. In 2019, 83 patients received orthopedic treatment per 10 000 adults in the region. Conclusions: The analysis of the organizational structure of dental care that has developed in the Ivanovo region has shown the availability of specialized therapeutic, surgical and orthopedic care to the adult population. The high professional level of specialists indicates the possible potential of providing dental care to the population of the region.
