Introduction. Digestive diseases are preventable causes of death in the working-age population. For this reason, as well as serious economic damage to the country's budget, the clinical and socio-economic significance of gastroenterological morbidity is very significant. Aim. To determine the nature of changes and features of the primary morbidity diseases level of the digestive system in the Kursk region. Material and methods. The prevalence analysis of pathological conditions mentioned in the headings K00-K92 of the ICD of the tenth revision is based on the official information "Data on the number of recorded illness in patients in the service area of a medical institution" in 2015-2017, including on the territory of the municipal districts of the region. Results and discussion. In Russia and the CFD, the primary morbidity diseases level of the digestive system was higher than in the Kursk region. The municipal districts of the Kursk region with high and low levels of primary gastroenterological morbidity were identified in comparison with the level for the region as a whole. The structure of the leading pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract as a whole in the Kursk region remained stable. Pancreas diseases (K85-86), gastritis and duodenitis (K29), hernias (K40-46), gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer (K25-26) occupied leading positions in the structure of gastroenterological morbidity in the vast majority of the Kursk region municipal districts. Conclusion. Given the need to optimize medical care with analysis of the incidence at the level of the region, the resulting information can be used for planning, improvement and increase of efficiency of therapeutic and preventive measures.
