The aim of the work was to analyze the available regulatory and legal information and, on their basis, compile consolidated recommendations on situations that are not explicitly regulated at the level of federal legislation or executive authorities. Materials and methods. We used the information and analytical method, the information submitted by the Federal Laws, Orders and Letters of the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation was reviewed and compared. Results. Possible options for solving a number of expert situations arising in the process of conducting and issuing an examination of working capacity in practical healthcare are systematized. Discussion. The ambiguity and uncertainty of part of the requirements in the field of conducting and issuing an examination of temporary incapacity for work causes difficulties in the work of specialists of medical organizations and unreasonable requirements from inspection instances. Conclusions. The regulatory framework in the field of conducting and issuing an examination of temporary incapacity for work requires refinement and specificity.
