The urgency of the problem of organizing and providing medical care to patients of the older age group with chronic dermatoses on an outpatient basis and in a hospital setting is extremely high, since with age, various disorders of the internal organs and various body systems are increasingly developing. In this regard, chronic dermatoses in the older age group more often pass against the background of polymorbid conditions and require special attention from medical personnel. The aim of the study was to analyze the results of treatment of the main and control groups of patients of the older age group with chronic dermatoses who had various somatic pathologies. Material and methods. In order to obtain reliable results of treatment of patients of the older age group with chronic dermatoses occurring against the background of polymorbid pathology, in the main and control groups, inclusion and exclusion criteria were developed. To obtain more reliable results of providing medical care to patients, the severity of the course of the disease was also taken into account when forming the main and control groups. The work used a descriptive method of statistics, prospective research, analytical and content analysis. Results. Our observation lasted for two years. Individual groups of patients were analyzed taking into account age parameters, conditions of medical care and nosological forms of diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. For example, 27 patients with psoriasis at the age of 55 and older women and 60 and older men were included in the main and control groups for a prospective study of the results of medical care. Conclusions. The high efficiency of treatment of patients of the older age group with polymorbid pathology, represented in the main and control groups, expressed in the significant development of remissions of diseases of chronic dermatoses, was established among those who received medical care in a 24-hour hospital and a hospital at home.
