CONTENT ANALYSIS OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET FOR ANTITUMOR DRUGS

Summary:
Introduction. This paper analyzes the general situation of the pharmaceutical market for anticancer drugs.
Aim. Describe the market situation in the segment of drugs of groups L01 “Antineoplastic drugs” and L02 “Antineoplastic hormonal drugs” in order to identify further ways for the creation of new drugs. This information can be very useful in drug technology.
Materials and research methods .The materials and research methods were data from the state register of medicines.
As a result of the study, it was revealed that the pharmaceutical market in the segment of drugs of groups L01 “Antineoplastic drugs” and L02 “Antineoplastic hormonal drugs” contains 93 INNs. A marketing analysis was carried out in each subgroup according to the following main characteristics: trade and international non-proprietary names, countries and firms of manufacture, form of release, number of dosages and packaging.
The discussion notes that the group L01 “Antineoplastic drugs” and L02 “Antineoplastic hormonal drugs” occupy 3.78% of the total number of trade names on the pharmaceutical market of the Russian Federation. These groups contain 93 international non-proprietary names, which correspond to 167 product nomenclatures. The analysis of subgroups showed that the largest number of trade names and INNs is represented by the L01X "Other antineoplastic drugs" group, the largest number of manufacturers, countries of manufacture, dosage forms and dosages is also in the L01X "Other antineoplastic drugs" subgroup. The main part of the market is made up of such dosage forms as tablets - 25% and lyophilisate - 24.41%, and the least common are implants and suspensions, they make up only 0.58%.
In the conclusion of the work, it was shown that it is necessary to develop drugs with antitumor activity. Currently, their assortment is not sufficient.
