Summary:
Introduction. Today, the fight against a new coronavirus infection is the most urgent task. Vaccine prophylaxis remains an important tool. For older and senile people at risk, immunoprophylaxis plays the most important role. Objective: Based on the literature review, a comparative evaluation of vaccines of various brands on immunochemical parameters for use by older people. Materials and methods: the material was scientific literature, normative legal acts, instructions of drugs. Results of the study: currently developed a line of immunobiological drugs for specific prevention against a new coronavirus infection. The vaccines created are based on different principles. Undoubtedly, vaccine prevention remains an important preventive measure against infection and the development of post-infectious complications of vascular genesis in both the entire population and representatives of the older generation. To date, in our country, people over 60 years old are allowed to use the “Gam-COVID-Vak”, “EpiVakCorona”, “Sputnik Lajt” vaccines. Discussion: Persons over 60 years of age have a higher risk of infection and post-infectious complications associated with dysregulation of cellular and humoral immunity, dyslipidemia, proinflammatory potential and comorbidity. Developed vaccines are able to prevent the development of postcovid vascular events by increasing immunological resistance. An important perspective is to conduct a comparative evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of different types of vaccines in people of the older age group. Conclusions: Today there are a number of domestic and foreign vaccines against COVID-19 that have different effectiveness. For use in older people, a more detailed comparative assessment of each variety is needed.
Keywords vaccination, pathochemistry, old and senile age, COVID-19.
