THE USE OF ALLOSTATIC LOAD IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF BREAST CANCER

Summary:
Breast cancer is the leading form of neoplasms among women of working age and the elderly. However, the allostatic load has not been sufficiently studied in patients with this pathology.
The aim of the study was to study the allostatic load in middle-aged and elderly patients at risk of breast cancer.
Material and methods: 63 middle-aged patients and 58 elderly patients with diagnosed histological breast cancer and 42 patients 60-74 years old with no breast cancer were examined. Allostatic load was studied in these three groups according to the level of systolic and diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglycerides,high and low density lipoproteins, glucose, albumins and waist circumference.
Research result: A statistically significantly higher value of allostatic load was found in elderly patients with breast cancer (4.2 ± 0.3 points) compared with middle-aged patients with breast risk (2.8 ± 0.2 points) (p
