Summary:
Introduction. In the conditions of a decrease in the country's labor resources, the maintenance and strengthening of the health of workers at remote industrial sites (hereinafter referred to as RISs) are one of the most important tasks of the country. The role of regular medical examinations in the system of organizing medical care at the RIS (remote health care) is one of the crucial ones.
Purpose. The assessment of the morbidity rate among the workers at RISs by the results of regular medical examinations, the analysis of the current system of medical examinations.
Materials and methods. The health condition of the workers at the RIS in the term of the three years from 2018 to 2021 was analyzed based on the medical reports prepared by the results of regular medical examinations of the Center for Corporate Medicine.
Results and the discussion. According to the results of regular medical examinations, 291 (21%) in 2018, 101 (12.5%) in 2019, and 209 (27.9%) RIS workers out of the total number of those who underwent medical examinations in 2021 were recognized as completely healthy. The rest had one or another pathology. In the structure of morbidity for workers at the RIS, the first three places are occupied in descending order by diseases of the digestive system, diseases of the eye and adnexa, diseases of the nervous system, with the exception of 2019, when the third place in the ranking was taken by diseases of the circulatory system.
Conclusion. It is necessary to improve the current system for conducting medical examinations through the introduction of stricter control of their quality and supplementing of the examination algorithm with highly informative diagnostic methods in order to detect promptly diseases among the RIS workers and prevent the development of acute situations caused by the impact of the set of factors (extreme climatic, industrial) at the UPO.
