Significance. Regular analysis of socio-economic situation of persons with disabilities is one of the state main goals within the framework of the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities ratification in the Russian Federation. The level, dynamics and structure of disability largely depends on changes in regulatory and legal documentation, as well as on the registration and accounting specifics of persons with disabilities in different departments and, as a result, the inconsistency of statistical accounting. The purpose of the study. To study the features of disability statistical accounting due to occupational injuries and diseases in the Arkhangelsk region according to the data of various departments involved in the analysis of disability and provision of public services to the disabled. Material and methods. To study information on disability accounting due to occupational injuries and diseases, materials of the Federal State Institution "Main bureau of medical and social expertise in Arkhangelsk region and Nenets autonomous okrug" of the Ministry of labor and social protection of the Russian Federation, the Office of the Federal state statistics service on Arkhangelsk region and Nenets autonomous okrug, a State institution - Arkhangelsk regional department of the social insurance fund of the Russian Federation, branch office of the Federal state institution "Main bureau of medical and social expertise of the Federal medical and biological agency" (Severodvinsk) were used. Results. Main source of information on disability statistics in the Russian Federation is the Federal bureau of medical and social expertise (MSE). The Federal state statistics service on the Arkhangelsk region and Nenets autonomous okrug publishes disability data provided by the MSE bureau. In the regional department of the social insurance fund (SIF) information about the disability presence in workplace is based on data received from the MSE bureau, while information in the SIF database is maintained both during primary, repeated, and unlimited examination. According to the regional department of the SIF, the total number of disabled people for the studied causes in 2020 is 2,255 people. While, according to the Arkhangelsk region MSE – 73 people, the Federal register of disabled people of the Russian Federation – 1,273 people. Discussion. Information received by the MSE bureau is quite complete and detailed, but the system for developing statistical information is significantly inferior to the collection system. Since 2016, the statistics of the MSE bureau of the Arkhangelsk region does not include data on disabled people examined in the branch office of the MSE bureau of the FMBA of Russia. Federal register of disabled people of the Russian Federation does not provide complete information about the socio-economic status of disabled people. Conclusion. Comparison of disability data from different departments is difficult at the same time due to the disparity of methodological approaches to data collection. To assess the socio-demographic portrait of the disabled, the SIF data are the most acceptable.
