Introduction. The article is devoted to the application of modern information technologies in the practice of a dentist. The article considers the possibility of building an algorithm for using an electronic database of patients, with the probability of subsequent contacting medical organizations at different stages of dental care. Purpose of the investigation. Development of an algorithm for maintaining medical records using modern information technologies, based on the introduction of an electronic database of patients, to optimize and synchronize the work of medical organizations at all stages of providing dental care to the rural population in field forms of work. Materials and methods. The article uses methods of the empirical level and methods of the experimental-theoretical level. Results and discussion. The process of executing the algorithm is focused on applying it to solving a specific problem; it is optimization and synchronization of work at all stages of dental care. The algorithm for maintaining medical records using modern information technologies in the practice of a dentist, based on the use of an electronic database of patients who have applied, including to a mobile dental office, is an adapted procedure for a medical worker's operations to solve the problem of ensuring continuity in the provision of dental care based on the database being created. Conclusion. The algorithm for maintaining medical records, based on an electronic database of patients, optimizes and coordinates the work of medical organizations providing dental care.
