Summary:
Actually: This article discusses the augmentation index and the vascular wall reflection index as early markers of damage of the cardiovascular system in arterial hypertension (AH) in women of different ages; shows the contribution of the augmentation index and reflection index to the prognosis of sarcopenia; proves the relationship between the indicators identified as a result of the oscillometric method, namely, the augmentation index, reflection index and hypertension, microcirculation disorders and the development of sarcopenia. The aim of the study: to study the augmentation index and the vascular wall reflection index as one of the markers of damage to the cardiovascular system in arterial hypertension and their role in the prognosis of sarcopenia. Materials and methods: 148 women aged 45 to 89 years were involved in the study: the average age was 45-59 years (the average age was taken to show a comparative characteristic between age groups and to prove how the reflection and augmentation index increases with the increase in years lived and the influence of hypertension) at this age there is no primary sarcopenia, the elderly age is 60-74 years, the senile age is 75-89 years. All women are registered at the dispensary in the Kurasovsky center. Results. Significant differences in the augmentation index and reflection index were obtained between patients with arterial hypertension and those without hypertension. Statistical analysis of the vascular wall augmentation index in patients of different ages showed that with age in patients with arterial hypertension, this index increases (p1-3
