LEAN HEALTHCARE - PHILOSOPHY OF ACTIVITIES OF MODERN MEDICAL ORGANIZATIONS

Summary:
Introduction. The solution to most of the problems existing in the industry today, especially in the organization of medical care for the population in primary health care, can be the widespread use of lean manufacturing (LP) technologies, therefore the task of introducing the principles of BP is extremely urgent and important. Purpose of the study: analysis of the main directions and features of the use of BP methods in national health care. Materials and research methods. In the process of achieving this goal, the following methods were used: analytical, sociological, mathematical statistics, systems analysis, value stream mapping, kanban and visualization. Results. In the course of the study, the main principles of the concept of lean production were comprehensively analyzed, the relevance and the possibility of extrapolating its principles to various types of medical organizations, taking into account the specifics of their activities and the principles of building organizational structures, was proposed, the author's classification of types of losses in healthcare was proposed. Discussion. Increasing the availability and quality of medical care for the population should be carried out by optimizing management and treatment and diagnostic processes, provided that all categories of personnel are involved in this process and all possible losses are eliminated, i.e. operations that do not bring value to either the medical organization or the patients, but of which today there are more than fifty in each organization. Conclusions: the introduction of the concept of "lean health care" into the work of medical organizations made it possible to increase the efficiency of their activities in terms of key indicators, the availability, quality and satisfaction of patients' medical care. The use of this method in practice makes it possible to prevent the emergence of most possible problems in the work of medical institutions, to quickly solve them if they arise, thereby responding in a timely manner to both patient requests and problems arising in the work of medical personnel, structural and functional units and the organization as a whole.
