Summary:
The decrease in the overall incidence of syphilis occurs against the background of a decrease in the rate of decline in late and unspecified forms of syphilis for 2014-2020, the treatment of which requires long-term treatment and observation. Along with outpatient and inpatient types of treatment for syphilis, the provision of care in a day hospital is becoming more common. Purpose: to assess the structure and dynamics of performance indicators of day hospitals of medical organizations providing medical care to patients with venereal diseases. Materials and methods: Based on the data of the forms of branch statistical observation No. 14DS "Information about the activities of day hospitals of medical organizations", as well as forms of federal statistical observation No. 30 "Information about the medical organization" and No. 9 "Information about diseases of sexually transmitted infections and infectious skin diseases ” were calculated intensive and extensive indicators for 2014 - 2020. The work uses statistical, analytical and descriptive methods. Results. The number of venereal disease beds in day hospitals of medical organizations increased in 2014-2020 by 26.7%. The average employment rate fell from 274 days in 2014 to 233 in 2020, or 41 days. Average duration decreased by 1.4 days (from 14.1 days in 2014 to 12.7 days in 2020). The number of patients treated increased by 12.7%. The function of a venereal bed in day hospitals of medical organizations increased by 1.1% (from 18.9 in 2014 to 19.1 in 2020). Conclusions: 32 subjects of the country had venereal beds in day hospitals of medical organizations providing medical care in inpatient conditions and in 27 - in day hospitals of medical organizations providing medical care on an outpatient basis, including hospitals at home. It is necessary to develop rules for organizing the activities of day hospitals of medical organizations that provide medical care to patients in a venereal bed. In the structure of the entire bed fund of a venereal disease profile, almost a third of venereal beds are beds in day hospitals. At the same time, their performance indicators are better than the indicators of venereal beds in round-the-clock hospitals, which proves that day hospitals can reduce more expensive medical care in a round-the-clock hospital environment.
Keywords day hospital; venereal beds; round-the-clock hospital; medical organizations providing assistance on an outpatient basis; medical organizations providing assistance in inpatient conditions.
