Introduction (relevance). The preservation and improvement of the health status of minors in the Russian Federation is priority and it is protected by law. Goal. To analyze the health status of the children's population in Chelyabinsk from 2011 to 2020. Materials and methods. The base of the study is the city of Chelyabinsk. Based on official statistical data from 2011 to 2020, a comparative analysis of demographic indicators, indicators of health status of children aged from birth to 14 years 11 months 29 days was carried out, an assessment of general and primary morbidity, its structure, dynamics and their parallel analysis was carried out, and the dynamics of the disease chronization coefficient was also considered. The following methods were used in the work: reporting, analytical, comparative analysis, generalization, modeling, mathematical and statistical method. Results and discussion. The analysis revealed a positive trend of increasing the proportion groups of children in the general population structure, but the overall demographic situation is assessed as unfavorable. The assessment of the primary and general morbidity of the child population, as well as the nearest forecast for 3 years, demonstrate a downward trend, but the negative is that the level of general primary morbidity and separately by class in Chelyabinsk is higher than in the whole of the Russian Federation. According to the results of a parallel analysis of the general and primary morbidity of children in Chelyabinsk, it can be assumed that there is a decrease in the number of children seeking medical help. The analysis of the dynamics of the chronization coefficient indicates its increase, first of all, in the classes of ICD-10 diseases, which include the so-called "school-conditioned" diseases. The high prevalence of risk factors identified of children, and their analysis allowed us to conclude that they are modifiable, therefore, there is a need to strengthen preventive work. Conclusions (conclusion). All results obtained form the basis from the development of disease prevention strategy that leads to a decrease in chronicity and disability among children and adults.
