GENDER AND AGE CHARACTERISTICS OF HOSPITALIZED MORBIDITY OF THE POPULATION OF OMSK AS A RESULT OF ACUTE POISONING WITH DRUGS AND PSYCHODISLEPTICS (HALLUCINOGENS)

Summary:
Relevance. The study of the level and dynamics of morbidity as a result of acute poisoning with drugs and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) makes it possible to assess the state of the toxicological situation at the regional level and formulate directions of preventive work in the context of chemical safety of the population of the territory.
The purpose of the study. The study of gender and age characteristics of hospitalized morbidity of the population of Omsk as a result of acute poisoning with drugs and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) by gender and age groups for the period from 2012 to 2021.
Materials and methods. In the statistical processing of the research materials, methods of alternative (intensive indicators) and graphical analysis were used, indicators of dynamic series were calculated.
Results. During the period from 2012 to 2021 in the city of Omsk, the frequency of cases of hospitalization of the population as a result of acute poisoning with drugs and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) increased 2.6 times. The level of hospitalization of victims as a result of poisoning with drugs and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) among men during the entire period of observation significantly exceeds similar indicators among women by an average of 10 times. Among men, the highest rates of hospitalized morbidity are recorded from 2012 to 2015 in the age group of 15-19 years, and from 2016 to 2021 ‒ in the age group of men 20-29 years. A statistically significant increase in the level of hospitalized morbidity of men as a result of drug poisoning and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) is recorded in the age groups of 20-29 years, 30-39 years and 40-49 years. The highest rates of hospitalized morbidity as a result of drug poisoning and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) among women during the entire follow-up period are recorded in the age group of 15-19 years. Statistically significant increase in hospitalized morbidity as a result of drug poisoning and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) among the female population is recorded in the age groups of women 15-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39, 40-49 years.
Conclusion. Acute poisoning with drugs and psychodisleptics (hallucinogens) are common in the adolescent and youth environment mainly among the male population, which allows us to state with a high degree of probability the fact of the presence of gender and age determinants of the medical and social component of the health of the population of the city of Omsk.
