Introduction. Glaucomatous pathology continues to occupy an exceptional position in the structure of modern somatic pathology from the standpoint of medical and social significance. High levels of disability and reduced quality of life due to it continue to be of great importance. This is especially important for geriatric patients, because the probability of development and progression of this pathology increases sharply with age. Purpose of the study. Analysis of age aspects and forecasting of the incidence of glaucoma. Materials and methods. The study of the incidence of the population of the Voronezh region was carried out over a long period according to official medical information. Initially, the information received was grouped according to various accounting criteria and expressed in absolute numbers. The analysis of the incidence of the population of the Voronezh region was carried out further on intensive values, as provided for by the methodological recommendations of the leading specialists of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and domestic research. Results. For the study period, the total population in the study areas was: in Novousmansky - 77.3 thousand people, in Ramonsky - 33.2 thousand people, in Khokholsky - 29.6 thousand people, in Borisoglebsky - 76.1 thousand people, total according to the research base - 215.2 thousand people. At the same time, the value of the indicator of the total absolute number of detected cases of glaucoma was - by study area: in Novousmansky - 2300 people, in Ramonsky - 970 people, in Khokholsky - 890 people, in Borisoglebsky - 2280 people. total on the base of the study - 6440 people.
