Summary:
Statistical analysis of morbidity is one of the key issues in healthcare in that provides a reliable basis for efficient planning of future activities. The study of dynamics of the federal and regional morbidity makes it possible to determine the need for improvement of measures aimed at improving the health status of the population.
The purpose of this article was to determine the federal and regional characteristics of morbidity for the period 2010-2020.
Research methods: In this study we used Statistical Data for observational conduct. The study of morbidity was based on a statistical methods: growth rate to the base level, annual average growth rate, generalizing indicators, structural and structural-dynamic analysis, and tabular method; trends were plotted; morbidity rates for individual causes were predicted for the next two years. The calculations and graphical analysis of the data were performed using Microsoft Excel. Student's t-test was used to compare the mean values.
Results: the dynamics of morbidity over the study period tended to increase. Rates of morbidity varied from year to year. The maximum growth rate to the base value of the general morbidity of the population of the Russian Federation was 4% (2019), the maximum rate of decrease -1% (2020). Despite the fact that changes in the federal and regional values of the primary morbidity rate had a negative trend, there was a steady increase in the incidence of certain classes of diseases. A peculiarity of the dynamics of primary morbidity in Samara region was the exceeding of the average Russian values by 1.2 times with reliable predominance in the classes "neoplasms", "diseases of the urogenital system", "congenital anomalies (malformations).
Conclusions: in the Samara region continue to register morbidity rates exceeding the national average. The revealed rates of changes in federal and regional indicators can be explained by the introduction of quarantine measures and require further analysis with conditional division into periods: before and after 2020
