Introduction. The new COVID-19 virus has made serious changes to the working rhythm and life of health care workers in the Tuva Republic, who are the first to stand up against the virus. In addition to helping patients in their profession, health care workers also have certification certificates which are valid for 5 years. The attestation of medical and pharmaceutical workers is carried out for the purpose of realization of the right on reception of a qualifying category according to item 4 of part 1 of article 72 of the Federal law from November 21, 2011 ¹ 323-FZ "About bases of health protection of citizens in the Russian Federation". Objective. To study the performance of attestation for qualification category of medical workers of the Tyva Republic during the pandemic. Materials and Methods. The data of federal statistical observation for the Republic of Tyva (Form No. 30) were used in the article. Statistical and analytical methods were employed. Statistical processing was carried out with the use of the Statistica 15 program. Results. The analysis of attested medical workers of the Tyva Republic from 2019 to 2021 shows that the increase in the number of attested medical workers in 2020 is due to the possibility of certification in a remote format. And in 2021, on the contrary, it decreased, maybe medical workers took advantage of the moratorium adopted by order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Conclusion. The analysis of the certification of medical workers in the health care system of the Republic of Tuva shows that the remote format is positively perceived by medical workers. Despite all the measures taken by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Tuva Republic, a small number of medical workers have qualification categories. This indicates some weakening of the administration's interest in the use of attestation as a tool to motivate the employees.
