Summary:
Parenteral viral hepatitis is one of the three most common causes of death in the class of infectious and parasitic diseases.
Purpose: to study the factors influencing the probability of death in patients with viral hepatitis B and/or C with liver cirrhosis.
Methods: Survival data and factors affecting it were studied in 557 adult patients with parenteral viral hepatitis B and/or C with liver cirrhosis who began observation from 2015 to 2021 in the hepatological center of the Sverdlovsk region, of whom 182 died of hepatocellular cancer during the observation period. or liver failure (these were considered uncensored), and the rest (including 41 patients who died from other causes) were right-censored.
Results. There was no effect on survival of factors: the presence of hepatitis B (p=0.5), co-infection B and C (p=0.1), HIV (p=0.4), alcohol consumption (p=0.2), tobacco smoking (p=0.2), body weight (p=0.3). Influencing factors in the analysis of Kaplan-Meier survival were: age (p and parenteral viral hepatitis, it is necessary to detect liver cirrhosis in the early stages in order to prevent its progression, and conduct regular examinations for the early detection of hepatocellular cancer.
Keywords parenteral viral hepatitis, mortality in parenteral viral hepatitis, risk factors for death from hepatitis, liver cirrhosis.
