Relevance. Far Eastern Federal District occupies a special place among federal districts of the Russian Federation, characterized by very low population density, infrastructure provision, including transport, dependent on weather conditions, peculiarities in the structure of population mortality: high mortality rates from external causes, including among people of working age. At the same time, the multidirectional dynamics of primary morbidity in urban and rural populations of the Far East may indicate insufficient availability and resource supply of the network of medical organizations and structural subdivisions in rural areas, primarily providing primary health care. The purpose of the study: To study the territorial distribution of medical organizations and their structural subdivisions located in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District to determine the criteria of territorial accessibility taking into account climatic and geographical features and transport accessibility. Materials and methods. The data of Rosstat, the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District on the number of population, transport availability, as well as the data of the federal statistical observation form No. 30 "Information about the medical organization" for 2021 in terms of the resource base of medical organizations subordinated to the executive authorities of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District were used as research materials. We used analytical and statistical research methods and the method of comparative analysis. Results and discussion. The analysis of territorial location of a network of state medical organizations in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District showed that 31% of the population of the district live in settlements with a population of up to 10 thousand people, where 26% or more than 700 medical organizations that do not meet the requirements of orders of the Ministry of Health of Russia № 132n and the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of Russia № 543n in terms of parameters of the organization of healthcare facilities, but are vital in providing accessible, quality and timely medical care, are located. So-called "non-standard" as for territorial location of a network of medical organizations and structural subdivisions ensures availability of medical care for 904 thousand people living in 739 settlements of subjects of the Russian Federation located within the Far Eastern Federal District which is 11% of the total population of the Far East. The presence of a significant share of so-called "non-standard" medical organizations and their structural subdivisions on the territory of the Far East is caused by low transport accessibility. The criteria of placement for "substandard" medical organizations, located in the settlements of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District with the population of up to 10 thousand people, depending on the number of population, were suggested. Conclusions. The assessment of the territorial location of medical organizations and structural subdivisions in the settlements of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District should be carried out using the adapted criteria and standards, taking into account the regional climatic and geographic features and low transport accessibility.
