Summary:
Relevance. There are a number of barriers to the adoption of deprescribing, ranging from anxiety about interfering with other physicians' treatment plans to patients' reluctance to cancel appointments. At the same time, Russian doctors are ready to apply deprescribing and do it, but without working out its methodology. Aim. To assess the readiness to use deprescribing among general practitioners and specialist doctors, to study the difference in the approach to deprescribing among these groups of doctors. Materials and methods. A survey was conducted in the Telegram messenger about what actions doctors take in relation to patients who are in a state of polypharmacy. Two subgroups of physicians were identified - general practitioners and specialist physicians - to assess whether there is a difference in the approach to deprescribing among these groups of physicians. Results. During the analysis of the course of the survey among subgroups of physicians, trends and significant differences were recorded with respect to some barriers to deprescribing. Discussion and conclusion. It is necessary to develop training programs for deprescribing and offer the medical community a legally sound approach to the implementation of problems, despite the neglect of the situation with the population, which is declared by the respondents in the survey.
