Introduction. Child disability is of great socio-demographic importance. The regions of the country have different levels of child disability, which makes it relevant to study the regional characteristics of static and dynamic trends and the factor genesis of child disability. Aim: our study is devoted to determining the static-dynamic trends in disability rates for children aged 0-14 and 15-17 in the Arkhangelsk region for the period 2010-2020. Methods. To achieve this goal, methods of econometric and statistical analysis were used: index method, Irwin's method, Chow's criterion, robust smoothing, chi-square. Age-standardized indicators of primary and general disability calculated on the basis of official statistics were used. Results. The dynamic evolution of childhood disability was analyzed, the contribution of individual age groups and nosologies to the dynamic changes in disability was established. Discussion. Disability as a medical and demographic process can be represented as a system. In this case, the emergent nature of this system is ensured, in addition to additive factors (for example, administrative factors in the form of changes in classifications, accounting methods, statistical forms, etc.), by the dynamics of its components, in our case - changes in disability in certain age groups and changes in disability in certain classes of diseases. Conclusions. A decrease in the level of child disability in the region has been established, dynamic trends are generated mainly by changes in the age group of 10-14 years and diseases of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems, as well as congenital anomalies. The role of mental disorders increases towards older age groups.
