System of health-improving measures during the summer period should be considered as one of the most important stages of preservation and strengthening of child's health during the year. The evaluation of the health-improving effect in children recreation in an organized manner is traditionally based on the assessment of the dynamics of anthropometric and physiometric indicators for a shift and has undergone multiple changes over the period of its establishment. The aim of the study is to assess the dynamics of indicators - criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of children's health improvement during their stay in a stationary suburban recreation and health improvement organization. Materials and methods. Object of the study - schoolchildren who spent their summer breaks in a stationary out-of-town organization in the Omsk Oblast. The sample consisted of 204 children 11-12 years old. The dynamics of anthropometric and physiometric indices of children, as well as their motor activity was evaluated during the period of health-improving shift. According to the results of the study it was determined that the dynamics of indicators - criteria for the effectiveness of children's health improvement depends on age, sex of the child, his/her height-weight index (BMI), as well as on the level of motor activity both in the camp and during the school year. The identified features of the dynamics of children's indicators for the period of the health improvement shift formed the basis for the development of an integral indicator of the effectiveness of health improvement.
