Summary:
Introduction. To reduce the prevalence of coronavirus infection and population health losses, specific immunization of the population was carried out. Its effectiveness depends on the attitude of the population to vaccine prevention and the effectiveness of medical and organizational measures.
The purpose of the study: to study the attitude of the population of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to vaccine prevention.
Material and methods. Medical and social research was carried out using a random sample by the method of available units when monitoring the attitude of residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to vaccine prevention against COVID-19. The study was conducted in 2 stages of the survey in the I and IV quarters of 2021. The survey involved 2,100 respondents representing 39 municipalities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Descriptive statistics methods were used to analyze the data using the licensed Excel package and the IBM SPSS Statistics package.
Results. It was established that during 2020 there was a positive trend in the population's opinion about the need for vaccine prevention against coronavirus infection, when the proportion of respondents supporting this measure increased from 44.8 to 63.4%. It revealed that there are 7.7 percentage points more men who rate vaccination positively than women. There was an increase in the proportion of respondents supporting vaccination from 30.2% among respondents 18-24 years of age to 67.6% aged 55 years and older. The number of vaccinated increased from 4.4 to 65.7%, which was a consequence of increasing public confidence in the vaccine and willingness to be vaccinated.
Discussion. Similar studies were carried out in many regions of the world, in Russia, in the territories of Siberia. It is indicated that in order to create herd immunity, the number of vaccinated must be 90.0-95.0%. Studies in the Omsk Region, Krasnoyarsk Territory and others showed that in 2021-2022. the proportion of those immunized was less than 80.0%, which indicates the need to expand the medical and organizational activities of local authorities and health care.
Conclusion. The implementation of medical and sociological monitoring of the attitude of the population to the implementation of state preventive measures is an important element in planning medical and organizational measures to reduce health losses.
