Diseases of the circulatory system (BSC) represent a major threat to public health, especially among the younger generation. Although there is a growing public awareness of CVD, analysis of the data revealed that understanding of risk factors and prevention measures remains inadequate. Objective. To study the adherence of medical university students to a healthy lifestyle and their awareness of the prevention of diseases of the circulatory system. Material and methods. The survey results of 170 male students of Izhevsk State Medical Academy aged 18-25 years old served as the material for the study. The survey was conducted on Google platform by questionnaire survey of students of the medical academy. The author's questionnaire included questions concerning demographic characteristics, level of knowledge about BSC, risk factors, preventive measures, behavior and motivation for prevention. Analytical, statistical, sociological methods of research were used in the work, for data processing the program “MS Office Excel 2019. Results. The study revealed a number of significant features of lifestyle and awareness level of men aged 18 to 25 years regarding diseases of the circulatory system. It was found that 59.1±0.5% of respondents do not smoke and 50.6±0.3% do not drink alcohol. At the same time 52,9±0,5% of them consider BSC prevention possible, 12,9±0,7% are not sure about it, 34,1±0,6% have difficulties with the answer, which requires additional attention to educational work in the process of study. Special attention should be paid to preventive measures aimed at reducing the influence of risk factors of BSC development. In the course of the study it was established. Conclusion. The obtained data indicate high awareness of students on BSC prevention and sufficient commitment to a healthy lifestyle, which indicates the quality of the educational program, including interactive learning formats.
