Relevance: The study examines the current issues of the activities of day hospitals operating as part of medical organizations. The coordinated work of day hospitals with outpatient clinics leads to a more efficient use of the resources of medical organizations, increased accessibility and improved quality of medical care to the population, as well as to the rational use of the bedspace. Purpose: To study the performance of day hospitals of medical organizations providing care to the adult population of Ivanovo. Material and research methods: The research was based at budgetary medical organizations of Ivanovo with day hospitals in their structure providing medical care to the adult population both in inpatient and outpatient settings. The source of the information was the Form 14 DS "Information on the activities of day hospitals of medical organizations" as of 2023. Research methods: statistical and analytical. Results of the study: Medical organizations of the city have 22 medical centers with 743 beds, and 18723 patients received treatment in them during the specified period. The first rank among the classes of diseases in patients was occupied by diseases of the circulatory system, which accounted for 30.3% of all diseases. The longest duration of stay of patients in day hospitals providing inpatient care was in the class of diseases of the blood and hematopoietic organs (12.8 days), and in outpatient settings – in the class of diseases of the digestive system (13.5 days). Conclusions: The analysis of the work of day hospitals of medical organizations in 2023 in Ivanovo showed that 6.3% of patients from the population of the regional center over the age of 18 received treatment in them. The average occupancy of a bed in a hospital providing medical care in inpatient conditions was 240.11 days, in a hospital providing medical care in outpatient conditions – 261.67 days.
