Summary:
The clinical presentation of the lesion of pelvic nerves and diseases accompanied by urological symptoms is polymorphic and nonspecific. There are many methods of examination of pelvic nerves, which specificity and the diagnostic significance for different neurological diseases are controversal. THE PURPOSE OF RESEARCH: To analyze the results of studies of pelvic nerve conduction and to estimate the diagnostic approach to electroneuromyography. MATERIALS AND METHODS: regarding the analysis of the available literature about neurophysiological diagnosis of pelvic organ dysfunction and technical capabilities of our hospital, we used the following methods of examination: transcranial and segmental magnetic stimulation, n.pudendus electroneuromyography using St. Mark's electrode. Six children aged 8 to 13 years and five adults aged 19 to 45 years were examined. Normal values for electroneuromyography of n. pudendus were 2.0-2.1 ms, for transcranial magnetic stimulation were 20-30ms at rest, 16 ms for after-effectiveness of vertebral spinal injury RESULTS: In the group of children an increase of latency of WMO + 2.2 / 2.7 ms was noted from the one side. Two patients had an increase of latency of induced motor response to 4.8 and 5.2 ms from both sides at the baseline. In the group of adults, an increase of the latency of induced motor response from both sides were noted in three patients, including one with consequences of induced motor response. Due to contradiction of the recorded motor responses, difficulties in the diagnosis of n.pudendus neuropathy, we need a complex diagnosic approach to urogenital dysfunction. We can accept following diagnostic methods: high-resolution manometry and complex urodynamic examination. Clinical examination and evoked potentials of n.pudendus can be taken as additional methods and can not be used alone for the diagnosis
